Blue is the dilute version of Black. And just like Blacks, Blues can be bred safely with many other color varieties. It is not good practice to breed Blue to Blue very often. Faded color and white toe nails will increase anytime you breed two dilutes together.
Generally it is best to breed dilutes like Blue to full colors like Black. This keeps the fur and nail color dark. Blues are safely bred to Otters, Himi, Torts, Tans and Martens to produce the blue version of those varieties. Chins bred to Blues often will produce Squirrel. Blue can also be bred successfully to Opal and Lynx.
